Breath of Winter

I hear the snowflakes falling

Well, I make believe I do

It’s winter’s song that’s calling

A frozen morning dew

Winter sneaks in, with a crusted, country pond

And a bird scratching seeds

Trapped in the icy ground

As a gentle breeze whispers by

Shivering, a tear wets my eye

I can touch the coldness in the air

Touch my misted breath

Playing my wintry song

With the breath this life has given
