Finding the time or place to rest

You will be surprised at how little that God requires from you, to give you a state of peace. He blesses your decision more than your action.

If you only have five minutes or five hours, He will quiet your soul and you can reflect on His response to your quietness throughout the day and hold on to that peace, all  day long.

Just know that He is your peace and that He is always there. You will find Him in all of the quiet things. Connect with the  flow of the clouds drifting by, the soft song of a bird, the gentle

flow of a stream flowing by. God is in all of them. The world screams at us – God whispers. Listen for the whisper.

Just by doing so, you’ll find yourself at rest and honoring God’s call to you and He will bless your soul and your heart for Him.  You will find rest.

Finding peace through the trials, is a much more useful method than trying to find peace by escaping the trials, as the trials will return but the peace will remain.  Peace to you..

Sweet Surrender (1992)

I had so many problems ‑ More than my share

My life had fallen apart ‑ That really broke my heart

It just wasn’t fair

So I stopped thinking ‑ Then started drinking

Trying to chase out the pain

But it was still there

I started taking pills ‑ Trying to warm my chills

I couldn’t pay my fare ‑ And I didn’t really care

But they were still there

I was so tired of crying ‑ That I thought of dying

Just when I came to the end ‑ God held my hand

I felt so guilty ‑ That I said forget me

Then held my head down in despair

But He was still there

I knew I had failed Him ‑ And  just couldn’t face Him

I didn’t expect Him to care ‑ But He was still there

Then I started to cry ‑ I don’t want to die

When I looked up He was there

He really cared

I cried – Father! ‑ He cried – son!

When He touched me ‑ We became one

One in Spirit ‑ My soul at peace

God had given me such sweet release

What a sweet surrender

Such a sweet surrender

God is so tender – to the sweet surrender

When I thought my life was so bare

He was still there

He is still there

Lost? Try a GPS

We all know what it feels like to be lost. That feeling of helplessness that immediately has you looking for someone for directions or a sign that you missed or looking under the seat for a map. Then, though it’s too late, you put your hand to your forehead  and ask yourself; “Why didn’t I get that GPS ?” You may or may not have heard the term “Lost” used in the terminology of evangelists or church people, trying to direct such lost people. You may not know what they are referring to, as being “lost”.  What they mean is:  You need a GPS.

The following may clarify for you as to whether you are lost and give you  some direction.

If you don’t know where you are or where you are going – you are lost.
If you don’t believe you are lost – you’ve lost your direction, but found your pride.
If you don’t believe in forgiveness – you’ve lost your heart.
If you don’t believe in peace – you’ve lost your love.
If you don’t believe in love – you’ve lost the foundation of life.
If you don’t believe in God – you’ve lost yourself.
If you’ve lost yourself – what will you ever find?
Are you lost?  If so, you need a GPS or God Provided Salvation.
Return home. Be reconciled to God.

Romans 10:13 reads:  Everyone  (that includes you) who calls upon the name of the Lord will be found, rescued, saved, brought back home. Use your GPS, set to “Return Home”

Love one another

No new words today – just a few that have already been spoken by others.

“I may not the worlds smartest man, but I know what love is.”   Forest Gump

“Light of the world, shine on me – Love is the answer

Shine on us all, set us free – Love is the answer

When you feel afraid – love one another

When you’ve lost your way – love one another

When you’re all alone – love one another

When you’re far from home – love one another

When you’re down and out – love one another

When all your hope runs out – love one another

When you need a friend – love one another

When you’re near the end – love one another

We have to love one another”          Todd Rundgren

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

John 15:12  This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:17  These things I command you, that you love one another.

Romans 12:10  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

Ephesians 4:2  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

1 Thessalonians 3:12  And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

1 Thessalonians 4:9  But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

Hebrews 10:24  And let us consider one another, to provoke unto love and to good works:

1 Peter 1:22  Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 Peter 3:8  Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

1 John 3:11  For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

1 John 3:23  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1 John 4:7  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.

1 John 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1 John 4:12  No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.

2 John 1:5  And now I beseech you, both man and woman, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

“I will be blessed – because you love me

I will have joy – because you love me

I will have peace – because you love me

I will love you – because you love me

Love makes us one”        Mark Ettinger

Desperation/Restoration

Holy desperation will bring your restoration

A new communication with the God of your salvation

I am quite certain that God hears everything we say

You hear Him – Do you listen?

A parent says to their child: “Be home early.”

They hear, but they come home late

They didn’t listen. The punishment is self-inflicted.

Holy desperation will bring your restoration.

A new communication with the God of your salvation

When you are desperate to be Holy

Your restoration will be self-inflicted

Sleeping in peace – waking in love

Desperate for You (from the project “All about His Love”)

Desperate for You

If I’m desperate for anything – I’m desperate for You

Tried almost everything –there’s no one like You

The world is uncertain, but Jesus you’re still the same

You first loved me – that’s why I  love You

You guard my heart and guide me to You

You are my Shepherd-You keep me from wandering

So I’m desperate- I’m desperate for You

Yes I’m desperate-I’m desperate for You

Help me to never forget my first love

Let me remember Your grace is enough

Nothing I do can compare to the things You’ve done

I’m desperate – I’m desperate for You

Oh Jesus – I’m calling for You

If there’s one thing that’s certain- It’s You’ve set me free

You walk beside me and never leave me

No way I’m falling, while Your love is holding me

I still remember- when I first met You

There in your Glory- I bowed before You

My heart was aching- and You came to comfort me

So I’m desperate – I’m desperate for you

Help me to never forget my first love

Let me remember Your  grace is enough

Nothing I do can compare to the things You’ve done

I’m desperate – I’m desperate for You

Oh Jesus – I’m calling on You
