Another Martin Luther King day-Now what?

It’s 12:01 AM – another memorial day gone for a humanitarian hero for another year.

Will what he stood for and died for live on, or take hold, or are we just going to continue on and bring up the topic again next year?
Let’s stop mere annual recognition and start clear volition.
Give peace a chance – Peace without pieces.

Love – a universal language

The language of love is universal –

One language of unspoken words -Understood only as love.. Do you know it?

The language of love is universal –

One language of unspoken words -Understood only as love.. Do you know it?

Repeat until you know it..

Rather than Judging

Judging points out the thorn and misses  the rose

It sees the wrong stroke on a beautiful painting – blind to the artist’s heart

Judging finds the crooked stitch on a quilt – removing its warmth

It shows the chip out of a wooden chair – not as a place to sit and rest

When you judge – you become the thorn

You paint the wrong stroke

You sew the crooked stitch

You become the tool that chips the wood

You could be the softness and the scent of that rose – drawing others near

You could be the pallet and the vastness of its colors – brushing beauty

You could be a thread that weaves us together

You could polish the grain of the wood – allowing the tree to live again

Rather than judging – choose to be the painting of the rose on the quilt

over the chair.

Love song of redemption

Have you heard the revelation- all about the Resurrection

And what it is that Jesus did for you?

There’s a story that foretold Him

There’s a grave that could not hold Him

So you’d realize that He did rise for you

It’s a love song of redemption

Of the power of His affection

Your salvation rests at Heaven’s open door

The world brought you affliction

The Lord brought crucifixion

So you don’t have to suffer anymore

Now just call the Name of Jesus

That’s what we did and He saved us

All of Heaven is rejoicing over you

You won’t miss the life you’re living

You will love the life He’s giving

And you’ll realize- that He did rise for you

And you’ll see the place that He prepared for you

It’s a love song of redemption over you

Infinity Lingers ∞

The December holidays have come and gone again. Reflecting on this holiday week, I’m praying for the spirit of peace, love, joy, giving and unity of family, to be more than a visitation; more of a habitation – to linger a long while among us; Spirit, don’t leave us.

As I ‘m sitting here, I closed my eyes and had a vision of an endless row of lit candles, making a slight curve as they went on into infinity. I saw how our individual candles put together, make a solid flame, giving off great light and waves of heat.

We are destined for infinity – God is infinite and he goes on forever, like the candles. We have the promise of infinity – eternity with Him.I want this beautiful vision to linger with me, as with the spirit of this holiday.

It’s a beautiful – infinite vision.  A picture without a border – A song you always hear.

A memory that never leaves you – a love that is always near.

Infinity, it is there, but it lingers here –  forever. We’ll always be together.   ∞

Love one another

No new words today – just a few that have already been spoken by others.

“I may not the worlds smartest man, but I know what love is.”   Forest Gump

“Light of the world, shine on me – Love is the answer

Shine on us all, set us free – Love is the answer

When you feel afraid – love one another

When you’ve lost your way – love one another

When you’re all alone – love one another

When you’re far from home – love one another

When you’re down and out – love one another

When all your hope runs out – love one another

When you need a friend – love one another

When you’re near the end – love one another

We have to love one another”          Todd Rundgren

2 John 1:5  And now I beseech you, both man and woman, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

I will have peace – because you love me

I will love you – because you love me

Desperate for You (from the project “All about His Love”)

Desperate for You

If I’m desperate for anything – I’m desperate for You

Tried almost everything –there’s no one like You

The world is uncertain, but Jesus you’re still the same

You first loved me – that’s why I  love You

You guard my heart and guide me to You

You are my Shepherd-You keep me from wandering

So I’m desperate- I’m desperate for You

Yes I’m desperate-I’m desperate for You

Help me to never forget my first love

Let me remember Your grace is enough

Nothing I do can compare to the things You’ve done

I’m desperate – I’m desperate for You

Oh Jesus – I’m calling for You

If there’s one thing that’s certain- It’s You’ve set me free

You walk beside me and never leave me

No way I’m falling, while Your love is holding me

I still remember- when I first met You

There in your Glory- I bowed before You

My heart was aching- and You came to comfort me

So I’m desperate – I’m desperate for you

Help me to never forget my first love

Let me remember Your  grace is enough

Nothing I do can compare to the things You’ve done

I’m desperate – I’m desperate for You

Oh Jesus – I’m calling on You
